Remember when....

I filled my vehicle up this evening. 21 gallons of gas. Cost just over 70.00.

Thats sad....

Whats worse, I can remember when you could buy 21 gallons of gas for 6.75.

Now thats really sad!

I can remember the first time I saw gas for 75 cents a gallon. I vowed then and there that I would never pay .75 for a gallon of gas. I have since repented for that lie.

Just filled my tank today, saw it for 3.61, all the other places want 3.69. Cost me nearly 24.00 for less than 7 gallons. Yikes almighty!
And to think we're sitting on 150 years of oil.
In 02 gas around here was 1.24...talk about the good old days!

I remember my Mom and Dad fussing when gas went to .19 a gallon!

Oh for the days.

Re: Remember when....

I can remember it when it was 18 cents, then went to 24 and the gas wars started. Then up to 35 cents. We used to pick up pop bottles for two cents each just to get enough gas to go fishing.. That was back in the dark ages of time when life was simpler and mom used to fix breakfast in the mornings. Man what a time..

I remember in the late 90s when gas dropped to $.75/gallon for a few weeks. I debated taking pictures of the unbelievably low prices!

On 9/11 I swore that if gas went up to $4 or $5/gallon I'd just walk to work. I'm still driving. (To my defense, I do commute 5 miles rather than 5 blocks now.)

And no one is blaming Obama.

At least in the mainstream media.
