Fox News Destroys Competition
FOX News Channel posted an increase last month in its total day viewership compared to April 2011, according to Nielsen.
"America Live With Megyn Kelly" saw increases of 30 percent for the 1 p.m. hour and 35 percent for the 2 p.m. hour in the key 25-54 age group. "Happening Now" was up 34 percent, and "Studio B With Shepard Smith" was up 32 percent among the same demographic.
FOX also claimed the top 13 cable news programs in terms of total viewers, with "The O'Reilly Factor" leading the way. In the 25-54 demographic, FOX had the top nine shows and 13 of the top 15. MSNBC's "The Rachel Maddow Show" and "The Last Word With Lawrence O'Donnell" were the only non-FOX shows in the top 15.
CNN, meanwhile, hit its lowest point since August 2001 in total viewership. It also had its lowest-rated month in prime time since August 2010; in fact, viewership dropped for the network in every hour compared to last April.
FOX came in third among all basic cable channels in prime time and fifth in total day programming. MSNBC came in 27th in prime time and 28th in total day while CNN came in at 35th in the former and 34th in the latter.

Not surprising during an ongoing Republican nomination.

Re: Fox News Destroys Competition
Fox is the better channel, for sure, but the lack of unbiased reporting still gets on my nerves.
CNN is ridiculous and MSNBC is even worse. Fox seems like the only sane choice, other than local news.

I doubt that has much to do with it. I think CNN and MSNBC are just SOOOOOO idiotic, Fox is the lesser of three evils.

I guess there has to be something for the mush brained among us??? Even Fox is victim to the need for 24 hour "news." Why do we need to have so much information to distract from the reality of living our own lives? Oh, yeah I discovered the power button!! LOL

I agree with this, and I've found that I've had to turn to CNN to get a more balanced view of the election cycle this year. Although, I get less of my information from the MSM, including Fox.
PPP put out a poll, earlier this year, that shows Fox is trusted by 34% but is also not trusted by 34%. I think that would be more accurate.
