Romans 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

Does this mean that not everyone has sinned like Adam?

it might be read that all suffer from being in the world, even the simple-minded, etc, who haven't reached the age of accountability. The commentators say "babies," for what little that is worth.

I believe it means everyone since Adam has death brought on them even though they personally were not Adam and did what he did.

Very good. Sin could only be passed on to humanity through Adam's sin, and
no one else.

It is interesting that the idea is what is called a FEDERAL HEADSHIP. Adam is federal head of humanity. His acts affected us. Christ is a NEW FEDERAL HEAD. And His acts affected us who get born again into His new creation race, which new birth is also how we escape Adam's old race.

Innocent children without any sin of their own suffer death because of Adam's sin. In other words we all suffer from the fall in the garden through no personal fault of our own. If we were in the garden we probably would have done it no differently though. It is simply just in us, man has always needed a savior.
