WHY I LOVE STANDARDS, Steadfastly
STEADFAST ASKED FOR THIS IN ANOTHER THREAD. I guarantee you this "positive thread" won't get nearly the attention of the other negative/controversial ones....I'm not trying to stir the pot, just curious to see how many posts this will generate regarding a positive topic.
The standards I love the most are:
1. Loving Jesus - keeping His commandments (and they are not grievous)
2. Loving Others - being honest and kind, conducting myself in an ethical manner
3. Keeping the Temple of God - myself - in accordance with His word - spiritually, mentally/emotionally, physically.
Those are the Standards I see as most important. Can we have a standards thread where we do not mention clothing or hair???….Would that be possible?

The reason it is difficult to do what you ask is that we pretty much all agree on the things you mentioned. When there is great agreement, there is little discussion. The reason the other type of discussion goes on and on and on is because of disagreement and different viewpoints.
I couldn't agree with you more on what you have listed!!!

These are the Biblical standards. These are the ones that we should talk about and hear about in church!!!

I agree. These are the ones I primarily deal with in the church I pastor.

When I read the teachings of Jesus Christ who is the head of the church , I have my hands full living up to His standards.
