Christianity or Cowardness?? Is the Church too Passive?

This has been on my mind of late...

When a group of folks had enough of the Church of England
they came to the America's to escape the tyranny of the Church
and England followed and those who came for Religious freedom
stood up. Rather or not you agree those who drafted the Constitution
were for the most part Christians and America was founded on Biblical
Precepts and they fought for their right to be free.

What has become of the church that National Issues no longer issues that
are important to us. We talk, complain but are compliant as long as we're not
bothered.

We have been attacked as a Nation by folks who live by religious fervor. London
thwarted two car bombings and Glasgow Airport in Scotland was attacked and what does the
church do?

Why have we let National Issues go and not remain on the forefront of the Principles
this Country was founded on?

Has the Church become so toothless that we can't stand up to tyranny?

Just some thoughts...

If the people who had enough of the Church and England were around today, they never would have fought because they would be too worried about "What would Jesus do". They would never turn to violence and therefore never change history. They would believe that their passivity would overcome in the end... and a few centuries later we would have nothing to discuss over our "fish and chips" because nothing would have ever happened.

Just the fact that God robed Himself in flesh as Jesus Christ the Man and the actions of Jesus Christ as recorded in His Word show us that there is no room for passivity in the body of Christ. If the Church is asleep, how more passive can it be?.....and the Bible tells us there were 10 virgins and they all slumbered and slept. ........When are half of us - or half of the true body of Christ - going to wake up?

If the predominate teachings of today were the teachings of our founding fathers, I contend there would not be a United States of America.
Why do I say this you ask?
Well, let's compare for a minute the predominate teachings of today.
We are taught that the tyrany of this present world surley must be of the anti-Christ and there is nothing we can do about it because it is the will of God, therefore all the bad news coming out is actually good news, because we are taught it proves the Lord is soon to return.
If on the other hand our fore fathers had the same teachings as we do today, they would have thought, the tryany was a sign of the times and the Lords will and nothing should be or even could be done about it, because King George must be either the anti-Christ or a for runner to it and it was just the prelude to Jesus' return.
They did not have this doctrine, so they created a Christian Nation whose God is the Lord!
I am afraid the teaching of today prevents us from doing what God want's and that is to preserve this most blessed nation above all nations in the world!
The major teachings of today has neuterd Chritianity into inactivity because we are taught, "Oh, bless God, times they is tough, but glory to God it is surley a sign of the soon return of the Lord"
It is, in my opinion, time for Christians to stand up as our founding fathers did and claim OUR land for His Glory!
It is time to stop being apologetic for our ways, and demand our ways be reinstated!
If you just thought that cannot happen because God has forordained our demise, you a victim to this false teaching that has invade the Church of today.
God Bless America!!!

And yet we look the other way...

I hear the voice of Islam what about the Church?

Have we become so infused with wealth and goods and instead of seeking Heaven we are are bound by bigger buildings and greater wealth?

Just some questions.. anybody?

"If Jesus had preached the same message that ministers preach today, He would never have been crucified." - Leonard Ravenhill

This about sums up what is being proclaimed nowadays.
