Wink Things Kids Say-"Shem, Ham, &....."

My seven yr old daughter Alanna, along with Kristin, & Ryan started up in a Bible quizzing program on Saturday night through our Church.

They were studying Noah and when asked what the three sons of Noah were
Alanna answered,"Shem, Ham, & Jennifer!"

In our car I had a Hosanna praise CD on and the song that was playing was
"Give Thanks" Alanna was singing along and when it came to the line, "Give thanks to the Holy one" Alanna sabg. "Give thanks to the Holy Ghost!"

While this caused us to chuckle I am thankful that she enjoys praising God &
that she enjoys Bible Quizzing.

The Bible study group is called "Bullfrogs & Butterflies!"
Just about all of the young people are involved.

Cute!!!

When my son was younger, he asked if "Peter Pan" was the one that had the keys to heaven.

Some think he does.

Great!!

I have a huge 30 yr old bible story book that my mom read to us when we were kids she passed it along to me and now I am reading it nightly to my 6 yr old daughter.

We finished the story of the 10 commandments and I helped her to remember them, and when she repeats them, they are so unbeliveably cute.

(Thou shall not committ adultry) "...daddys should only kiss mommy's they are married to."

(Thou shall not covet) "you shouldn't want your friends game boy game, you should save your money to buy your own."

(keep the Sabbath) "Don't do homework on Sundays!!"

(Honor your Father and Mother...my personal favorite) "Do what your daddy and mommy tells you to do and don't dilly-dally..."

That is cute.
Gives a different perspective on how they understand what we teach them.

Maybe we should teach the grown-ups this way and that might actually 'get them'!!

When my daughter was about 3 she liked to sing "I feel good"

The words to the sing were "I feel good, good, good, I feel good down in my soul, there's something about the love of Jesus that makes me feel good, good, good" (of course I may have them wrong too. )

She would sing "I feel good, good, good, I feel good down in my soul, there's shukaluka lukaluka Jesus that makes me feel good, good, good"

She would sing it out loud just like she had the words down perfectly.

Too cute!!! My little boy use to speak in tongues like his papa. He would go around saying "sha-ba-conda."

My daughter sings lots of church songs, it is a good feeling to hear them singing songs of praise yet it can be very entertaining to hear their versions!!!

And ya know the "eenie meenie minie moe, catch a tiger by his toe" saying? Her version is "eenie meenie minie moe, cha cha cha cha cha cha cha" not sure where that came from but she has been saying it forever now!

She has lots of words she says wrong that we are always cracking up about, here just a few:

Zip - she says Jip
Glasses - gackes
Skirt - kirk
Off - ock

And she has many many more.....

My 1st cousin once removed, Shanna Hudspeth (unsure of her married name) used to sing "He has ribbons on His head and He is Lord!"
