United Pentecostal Church!! group on Facebook

Anyone a member of this group? I just had a surreal "discussion" with some folks in the Discussion section on a thread called "the shack..."

We didn't even really discuss the book, but it is just a hilarious thread. I made a couple of (what I thought were) mundane comments, and the responses are just ... I don't know. It's like everyone is competing with these little mini sermonettes, but some of it is just downright offensive. I normally don't read threads on Facebook because it's just not a great system, but for some reason, I got an email notification about something that took me in there, so I started reading a bit.

All of that to say --- I appreciate AFF, and I really appreciate the people on this board.

God bless.

Re: United Pentecostal Church!! group on Facebook

I'm on Facebook but gave up on groups like Apostolic and Pentecostal etc because they became big argument and condemnation sessions. I don't need that kind of abuse from my Facebook friends. I can come here and get that.

Good point. But it's pretty cool to be condemned on Facebook too. Just sayin...

It is interesting... You would think that JJ would crack down on some of the many uses and misuses of the UPCI name and trademarked logo. If the UPCI makes no attempt to protect its trademarks - then a court could rule that anyone can use the UPC logo and name for whatever purposes.

That's one of the foundations of copyright law: did the copyright holder ever try to protect their brand?

Anyhoo... the young lady who set up the Facebook site seems pretty hip. She's a member of The Office's fan site. Probably not a standards nazi, nor even close. Just my impression. She was not part of the exchange mentioned above.

The guy who took Fritz to task for his compromising ways is a reseller of GoDaddy's web hosting services and promotes GoDaddy's "Website Tonight" service. - http://who.securepaynet.net/whoische...prog_id=443627

You know GoDaddy... the "GoDaddy Girls." The "Too Hot! For Television Ads."

Personally, I think Fritz would benefit from a scolding more if the guy scolding him wasn't surrounded by scantily clad and buxom babes.

Read several of the discussions on there just now after you mentioned it. Ya, thank you AFF.
