Invited to Join a Clan
Not the Klan. I was invited to join a gaming clan. I play MP on Castle Wolfenstien on a server called happy Penguin. Im not the best shot...partly because of my system at the moment, but I can play...kinda funny...I wonder if they have anyone over 40...is there an age MAX?

amishwithattitude.net is recruiting. Most of us are over 30 and don't allow any cussing or bad names.
We play bf2142 now. Some of us have been thinking about a cod4 server too.
Membership is $20 a month. Prax you're welcome to visit and join. 
If you visit our server, I'm AcTwo38, but won't be on until after Thanksgiving.

The only problem I have is new games and not being familiar with them. Personally I like ET because the game is not complex but still requires teamwork to play. As of now BF barely runs on my puter...let alone COD. I need to do some upgrading first. Do you guys play other clans?

I hear you. It seems that's the problem I have too. As soon as I get upgraded to the latest where I can run on high or at least medium settings, then a new game comes out and I have to run on low settings.
We don't really play against other clans per say. They can come on our server and join one side if they want, but that's about the extent of it. Other clans that do that usually require mandated practices. We just get on and have fun whenever we want.
Our squad requires the monthly fee because the servers cost a bit to rent. Of course the more members we have the lower the monthly fee will be in the future.
I agree with the Mrs though, get to know the clan or squad first. You have to play on our server for awhile and join us in vent so everyone can get to know you. Then when you've applied to be a recruit all members vote. After about two weeks we then vote again for full membership to our squad.

You're not too old! There are many players my age out there. I would choose the clan wisely. Spend time with them in their chat channels (vent, teamspeak) to get to know them. That's what we do with all new recruits wanting to join. We want to get to know them and make sure they'd be a good 'fit' for our clan.
And not all clans require their members to pay monthly fees. Ours is supported solely by the Admin/Captains. (and google ads!)  On the other hand...I wouldn't mind paying a small monthly fee...You can spend more on entertainment in one night at the movies than you can for a whole month of gaming.
