2. I will abide by the Silver Rule which follows: “
Do not unto others things that you would not want done unto you.”
3. I will not presume to know the life or lifestyle of any other poster on this forum. This means that I will not falsely assume or hastily conclude things about fellow posters.
4. I will not publicly post names or personal information inappropriately about individuals unless the information being discussed is public information. In such cases, the focus of criticisms and interest will be on the relevant facts and information, and not on the character of the individual.
5. I will not post in all caps. THIS IS RUDE AND IMPOLITE!
6. I will not resort to personal insults or rude behavior in the event that I’ve lost a debate or an argument. I will remain courteous and will cordially acknowledge the ability and experience of the other poster with the humility of one who is journeying in the corporate pursuit of truth. By the same token, I will treat other posters who possess less etiquette with tact and grace.
7. I will not be selfish. This means that I will not create an account and then
continually divert all attention to a blogspot or a website personally dedicated to me and me only.
8. I will be honest. I will attempt to offer my original thoughts on topics that interest me when engaging. This also means that any resources I quote from will be properly cited and acknowledged to the best of my ability.
9. I will not use my freedom to lurk and read anonymously to spread gossip and information to other forums.
10. I will reread and practice Rule #1 until I get it right.
