Curious. Who gets to decide what is too much display of emotion?
Would you see running, dancing or jumping as possible displays of rejoicing or being emotional about something?

e·mo·tion·al·ism
n.
1.The tendency to display emotion freely or to rely on or place too much value on emotion. 2. Undue display of emotion.
Since words are defined in context, when I used the term you can use either of the above definitions.
We tend to manipulte through emotion and if you don't react the way you are supposed to, based on what the group determines, you are not spiritual.
