Well, this forum is basically for entertainment and enjoyment. I feel some obligation to try to do my part to oblige the viewers!
Love batting it around with MissBratt. We are never serious with our barbs - just having some fun. She's a great sport!

Anyway, DKB's and Seagraves position papers don't support RR views from what I've read.
I was trying to find where RR was getting the "covering" and "guarding the glory". These two scriptures are interesting, but I can see much is read and added to them, which is not a good thing. At least, I think this is where she is getting the idea that the hair ties into the ark of the covenant.
Exodus 35:12 "The ark, and the staves thereof, with the mercy seat, and the vail of the covering,..."
1 Samuel 4:22 "And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken."

It has been so long since I have read anything she has written.
But if these scriptures are apart of her reason for teaching HMH, it is a very far stretch.
Amazing thing to me is, that most of the women that hear her take what she says as literal gospel. She has great influence. Hopefully Segraves article will help some of these women not to fall under her spell so easily.

I've never read her books. Someone recently said to me, "When you are ready and want to read something, I have a book I would like for you to read."
When I am ready - you know what that means? - when I am receptive and not stubborn. Good luck with that one! LOL!
I said, "I'm never going to be ready to read a book by RR." I already knew what she wanted me to read.
Well, that pretty much ended that little conversation. LOL!
What I believe is happening is that many are not paying attention to the context of verse 10. They are making it into a "miraculous" power grab because "power" is mentioned in the same verse with "angels".
I believe they are forcing the definition for "exousia" here and it should be "dunamis". It sounds so awesome and wonderfully powerful for a spirit filled person/church - bad movie! lol
I am also experiencing people being very uncomfortable and hostile if you try to break down what is actually being taught here. But, I think that DS did a very masterful job and I have hope that this will be corrected. They will have to discuss this at District meetings and channel it down.

OH NO!!! You used the "S" word!!
We had a play at church yesterday, and one of the characters said "shut up" repeatedly. Apparently he didn't know that this is now a bad word. (who knew, my parents said it to me probably 10 times a day... no comment on how often they needed to say it to me...)
Two of my cousins littles boys were sitting in front of me, both of them are about 5. They kept sharing horrified glances at each other, until one leans over and says in a very loud whisper, "that's a BAD pirate!" (he was wearing Bible era garb with a patch over his eye!) LOL, it was too cute!!!

Oh I am totally with you on the dunamis - exousia meanings and how they differ.
But the dunamis version is so much more exciting, even if it's not the correct meaning.
It is really hard when something is engrained in you and you think it is a spiritual revelation. It's becomes an emotional attachment, like a soul tie. Very hard to break and people get very upset if you challenge it.
