IIRC, the left extreme is marxism/socialism, the right extreme is fascism. Neither bode very well for the citizens.
For Bob Beckel to say that he had no problem with Santorum's "satan" comment in a Christian setting because, satan is real is saying something and he is right.

They pulled the same thing on Anita Perry when she spoke to a Christian women's gathering.

It's ridiculous, IMO, for us to say we can't get along unless we are moderate. That means you have to set aside your opinions and beliefs, many times.

It is the same lame argument when, mainly the left, cries that we must be bi-partisan. When the left and the right have opposing opinions and views, that is democracy in action and we need it to keep a balance.

Laura Bush didn't believe in abortion, but she said it was the law of the land and she must follow what the law, presently, has ruled. That doesn't make her pro-abortion as some have tried to tag her with.

Re: Pastor Santorum's message for America

Yeah, because part of Santorum's platform is to establish a law that makes it mandatory to be Catholic if he becomes President.

It's no wonder Obama has such a good chance of winning re-election with the idiocy of so many. Santorum hasn't once said he has any desire to interfere in our bedrooms or outlaw birth control. He says what HE believes about hings due to his Catholic faith. They aren't asking him what he would support as President. It's not like suddenly congress would pass potential laws bannign birth control or recreational sex to his desk for him to sign into law.

It's stupid that some can't differentiate between a man's personal beliefs and what his political stances would be.

BTW, moderate doesn't work. People keep saying "give us a moderate GOP candidate" as if that hasn't been tried. What do you think McCain and Bob Dole were? The result of a moderate GOP candidate is simple: the Democrat wins.

I would seriously doubt that. Obama's platform is to be irreligious.

Santorum's views have nothing to do with him forcing policy if he were to win the election. His views and policy would only be toward religious freedom. He can have views without forcing them on the American people.

I agree! Fox News (Faux) is telling it's listeners that only a moderate can win. Same mantra.

Re: Pastor Santorum's message for America

RS speaks to a Catholic school as a Catholic, since when did America penalize someone for having religious belief???

O yeah, for the last sixty years!!

Santorum would be a decent president, and he would not impose...he could not impose Catholic doctrine on America, that is ridiculous. He has a record in Congress, he governs very mainstream....O yeah, which Ron Paul says is a problem....LOL!!!
