Re: Covid and the Ministry
Hope they get their folks back. Probably not. The devils sure fooled them.

Re: Covid and the Ministry
There is a huge difference between dying with Covid and dying from Covid. 90% of the folks who get Covid, recover at home on their own. I know, I'm one of them, along with my wife and several close friends. Honestly, I've had a tougher recovery from seasonal flu in my life. Everyone I know that has died from Covid had underlying conditions that were already introducing them to the pearly gates. Any added stress to their bodies was going to contribute to an earlier demise. IMHO the media fearmongering is more politically motivated than medically inspired.

Re: Covid and the Ministry
ATLANTA, Ga. (WJW) — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released new data last week that depicts how many Americans who have died from COVID-19 also had contributing conditions.
According to the report, only 6% of deaths have COVID-19 as the only cause mentioned, revealing that 94% of patients who died from coronavirus also had other “health conditions and contributing causes.”

I took a look at the data on the CDC website.
Everyone is focused on that "only 6% actually died of ONLY COVID" but "94% died with something else," thinking that meant 94% really didn't die of COVID.
Wrong.
If a person dies who has cancer and along with that has diabetes or high blood pressure, we don't say they didn't die of cancer. They did. The underlying conditions (comorbidities) may cause the patient to succumb quicker but they weren't the cause of death.
For comorbidities of the 94% COVID deaths, the majority (over 35K) was high blood pressure. Over 18K had ischemic heart disease (coronary artery disease). Other comorbidities listed: Obesity, Alzheimer, Diabetes and others.
To claim that COVID is ONLY responsible for 6% (just over 9K) of the deaths is ignorant.
People have HBP and live. I know because my parents lived with HBP for DECADES. People have Diabetes and live. I know because my father had diabetes late in life but lived for YEARS with it. People are Obese and live. People have Alzheimer disease and live. People have coronary artery disease and LIVE.
Unfortunately for thousands who had these underlying diseases, they also caught COVID19, which resulted in their deaths.

OK, I'm a problem solving type of guy. When I'm in a meeting, I don't want to keep talking about the problem over and over. It doesn't get any better, because we have already rehashed it. So, in a meeting, what I try to get everyone to focus on is the solution. Now, what's the solution? When will COVID stop being a threat to mankind? Since we have been going back and forth ( my family and I still haven't got it) over this virus, plague, or pox blight, and no one brings up the solution. Where do we go from here? What do we do? Most everyone I meet or know are split down the middle. Yet, most of the people I have spoke with haven't ever gotten the disease, but always seem to know either someone who did, or died from it. I don't want to talk, and rehash who got it, or argue if they really had it, or doubt if people really died from it. My question is when do the masks come off? When will we be able to walk into a store not wearing one. Taking a trip across the United States, you can find some places where there is no mask wearing at all. But I live in a major city, a liberal one at that filled with JOE BIDEN for president banners, bumper stickers, and signs on the front lawn. When will it all be over? No masks no covid, no more deaths? Still biology 101 still begs the question, "don't virus constantly change?" then what do we do with the next covid? Covid 20, or COVID 21?
