Well, I hope so. I asked the Lord if there was something I could say to help her and He said, "I am developing a relationship with her. Let her find her own way."

So, I'm good with that.

now that sounds like spiritual maturity, i guess this whole thing when i read it, just touched off the right button, i am so glad you are reaching to her, that will be good, i hate to think that when all the youth girls that visit our church come in with pants on, that the preacher would pick on them, i might have to take him to the woodshed myself, dt, i am proud of you for studying, do that myself, god bless you,

We used to be told that it was the spirit of a harlot to wear denim and I have had relatives and friends that I invited to church who wore pants harangued from the pulpit. ........One relative had traveled thousands of miles (from Alaska) and all she heard from the preacher to the "saints" who testified was how horrible pants were. It was very obvious that she was singled out and the stares she got were horrible. Needless to say, I went home and cried and cried. She told my mother, "I will never go back to that church again"....Sometimes I wonder how much blood will be on people's hands who did not use wisdom. It's not all about Acts 2:38 and a dress code. It's about love and wisdom and doing the will of Jesus Christ, too.

Some people just don't know better. It's just that "simple". ('scuse the pun )

These kind of people will always be around.

I was so shocked I couldn't even cry. So, shocked I couldn't even get mad.

But, I was determined to settle it in my heart - once and for all and I have.

So, modesty is the issue.

Having said that - honestly - it is going to knock out a lot of pairs of pants and tight skirts!

I like your thread.

None of this study leads me away from the issue of modesty. Tight jeans are immodest. What I do want to do is avoid using a scripture, erroneously, to support a doctrine I want to stand for.
Since living in Texas......here in a True Cowboy area.

There are real Cowboys here; Spurs, knee high boots with the jeans tucked in. Also I notice the jeans are real tight....

Well, I had ridden a horse in my loose fitting wranglers.

After about an hour I understood why Cowboys wear tight fitting jeans.

The same reason a woman wears a sports bra if the runs alot.

Coop, cowboy cut Wranglers are made roomier in the seat and thigh.

I daresay I have logged a few more hours ahorseback than you, and I never liked tight jeans to ride in.
