Very good point! Our office complex is close to the airport in Memphis and one street is known as "their" street. Most all have on skirts and as mentioned, they are very short ones - - usually wider than they are long.
Now, back on subject......

My wife was once pointed to and and accused of having the spirit of a whore (direct quote) because there was a split in her skirt. It was well below the knee, btw.
This from a pulpit.
That was a little tough to swallow.
But we didn't go chatismatic over it.

And I wouldn't lift my hand against the man, since i actually believe what the Scripture teaches about that.
