All of us need to be careful not to let the past keep us bound. I appreciate Bro. Neckstadt and respect him highly. This is not something I haven't said to him before. He has so many own personal excellent qualities that he does not have to stay in the shadow of his father's past glories.

Hopefully not too far off topic here but Pastor, in Bible Study tonight on
Philippians 3, was making the point that "forgetting" has more a sense of not allowing the wrongs or sins of the past that have been forgiven to affect or influence us anymore.
We don't "forget" in the sense that we fail to remember and neither does God. How could He? He's God after all.
But we can put that junk in the past where it belongs and where it no longer affects or has any influence on us.
I thought it was a good point and had never heard "forgetting those those things which are behind" explained in that way before.
