After we settle the dates and activities, what about a time to meet on Friday or even Thursday for those of us who might be there early? I plan on being there as long as my job allows, but being there on Thursday is definitely a possibility.

The date is settled to April 25th.
I think we will plan on meeting on Friday with nothing really planned, but just meeting and greeting - - probably just meet at the church since Eddie & Sherri have made it available to us. I'm sure people will be coming in at different times, so this will just be for whoever can make it.

Those who get there that early can always spend the day at "Pinson Mounds". LOL
I would ask what that is, but I'm not sure I like that you are laughing!!!
Well, it's a historic indian burial grounds just outside of the Jackson city limits. Pretty boring, unless you're into walking around looking at pretty much nothing. I remember being taken on field trips there in Elementary school. Like they thought we should have been all excited about going there.
Someone on here mentioned it the other day as a possible outing for the gathering... so I threw it in again.

Not sure if I'd like it or not, but cemetaries are my thing!

Just in case someone really likes that kind of thing:
Pinson Mounds, one of two state archaeological parks, is a special park, set aside to protect the prehistoric remains found there. Managed by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation's Division of State Parks, the Pinson Mounds grouping consists of at least 15 earthen mounds, a geometic enclosure, habitation areas and related earthworks in an area that incorporates almost 1,200 acres. Pinson Mounds is a national historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
