A screen is a screen. With the newer TVs and the internet, I can control the content shown on screen as well as you do your internet. For instance there is a nature show about ocean life playing on my TV screen as I type this on my phone. The internet is streaming all of this content together. It seems you relate only to over the air content, which I only use for weather. These are in fact exactly the same thing...one is a 5 in screen - the other is 55in. I could be watching video content about wood turning, but I find it entertaining and enlightening to discuss this too.

Many churches use large TVs as computer monitors to display announcements, play music during prayer time, and display bible verses. We cant do at home????....that which is done at literally thousands of churches on Sunday, at home also. Seems illogical....

ANY THING WITH A SCREEN THAT CAN ACCESS INTERNET IS A TV. AND any TV purchased in the last 10 years can display internet content.

Bro, I use to use the same arguments. We don't have television. My brothers who don't have television, also don't have internet. Why? Because the argument use to be (you may remember before Internet was cool) that the pro televisioon Apostolics would say television was a tool. We removed it, and now it found another way into the house via Internet.

Yes.

My old pastor would have the saints disable the monitor to be able not to get television channels. That was way before video could be displayed on the internet. Internet was nothing more than cheesy websites.

Also as pointed out by EB, if one dregs about the internet one could display much more offensive things than the networks can dream about, on your TV.

Or on your little 20in desktop, or you can watch the football game on your phone, while you are at the game....its all screens....good greif.

The argument for tv as a tool was advertising not sitting and watching it. But yes I do agree that it’s a heart thing. Remember when the Israelites made a golden calf? What did they make it out of? What did god say to do with remaining gold they had? Did he say well it’s in your heart so keep it all?
