So, should I purchase this? And how much memory would you want on a video card? Is the 1GB sufficient?

Okay, thanks. I need an upgrade and realized that there is so much stuff involved, I'm sick of reading about it.

If deals have expired or are sold out they indicate that also.
They also have a navigation bar for "coupons" to display any promo codes from Dell or other places for special discounts.

Thanks for the awesome website, CC1! I talked to Dell and they said this is an awesome computer. Should be receiving it in a few days!
Should move this thread to the tech area - just a suggestion!

Wow. That system is a great one. That i7 processor is a good one and that is an awesome amount of RAM.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Buying A New Computer
The good news with computers is that pace one needs to upgrade has slowed down quite a bit. The amount of RAM that one needs has been doubling for over a decade and a half but during the last few years it has slowed dramatically. 4GB was good three years ago and it is still good today -for most applications.
Of course my desktop has 32GB on it which will probably last me through the next 10 years. My wife will see to it (and remind me anytime I say I need to upgrade)!

Thanks again! My Tech guy was talking about a UPS battery deal I should get. Is that necessary or only for a really expensive unit?

Don't tell my husband that! My argument to him was that most of the deals I saw were $500 for 4 and 6GB, so why not pay $200 more for 16GB?!!!!

Is this a Business PC? Then probably if you are working on documents that are not saved yet
Same may be true at home
A UPS just is a glorified battery that gives you enough time to save stuff and turn the PC off

Well, it may be possible to find the 16GB sticks on sale cheaper and better qualities.
RAM is often one area where PC makers go for the econo stuff
