Oh yes, I'm also a pastor's wife, have been a missionary wife and have occupied a number of different positions in that role over the years.

I like working at Blessings. There's lots of variety, always LOTS to do - usually TOO much to do. I like the environment, I love what I'm surrounded with every day which is books, books, and more books! I also like the people I work with and for.

I feel blessed to be working at Blessings!

Chim chiminey
Chim chim cher-oo!
Good luck will rub off when
I shake 'ands with you
Or blow me a kiss
And that's lucky too

Now as the ladder of life
'As been strung
You may think a sweep's
On the bottommost rung

Though I spends me time
In the ashes and soot
In this 'ole wide world
There's no 'appier bloke

Up where the smoke is
All billered and curled
'Tween pavement and stars
Is the chimney sweep world

When the's 'ardly no day
Nor 'ardly no night
There's things 'alf in shadow
And 'alf way in light
On the roof tops of London
Coo, what a sight!

I choose me bristles with pride
Yes, I do
A broom for the shaft
And a broom for the flume

Though I'm covered with soot
From me 'ead to me toes
A sweep knows 'e's welcome
Wherever 'e goes

Chim chiminey
Chim chiminey
Chim chim cher-ee!
When you're with a sweep
You're in glad company

No where is there
A more 'appier crew
Than them wot sings
"Chim chim cher-ee
Chim cher-oo!"
On the chim chiminey
Chim chim cher-ee
Chim cher-oo!

Here is a poem by William Blake about the Chimney Sweep...a little morbid, I would say.

http://www.repeatafterus.com/title.php?i=5988

A little black thing among the snow,
Crying "'weep! 'weep!" in notes of woe!
"Where are thy father & mother? say?"
"They are both gone up to the church to pray.

"Because I was happy upon the heath,
And smil'd among the winter's snow,
They clothed me in the clothes of death,
And taught me to sing the notes of woe.

"And because I am happy & dance & sing,
They think they have done me no injury,
And are gone to praise God & his Priest & King,
Who make up a heaven of our misery."

I like the songs and poems. I am quite interested in the historical apects of my trade. I have an English book by Benita Cullingford entitled British Chimney Sweeps: Five Centuries of Chimney Sweeping

Though the industry has matured in many countries, I hold an appreciation for the simplicity and camaraderie of sweeps around the world. I have swept chimneys in London, England and last year met 1500 sweeps from around the globe in a small village in the Italian Alps. It was a wonderful experience.

Chan- No offense meant, but how can you write decisions for adminstrative law judges given the way you write here?

Do you write things about the party's inability to read and wicked depraved hearts OR are you so tired of being careful with your words on the job that you let it all hang out here?

Very curious... cause I have yet to read something from a judge that comes close to the kind of writing seen in your posts. What gives?
