That would be an interesting study. I imagine the farther back you go in time, the larger the rate of "dis-association" would be.
Just looking over an old Bible School year book from almost 30 years ago, I would estimate that at least 50% are out. And by "out" or "gone" I mean they've left the OP message - not just the UPC itself.

The fear mongers among us hate the thought of people thinking and actually studying Gods word.

Whatever............
They taught us to search Scripture for ourselves and that's a good thing. I am very strong in what I believe because we've prayed and studied God's Word and have it deep down inside of us. No one can sway me from the truth that I know now.
If it's truth, it will stand up to question.

No, I'd say that Sherri seems to be one of those who actually became even more Biblically oriented as time went on.
Letting go of non-Biblical "standards" isn't the same as letting go of the Bible itself. In fact, it's the path toward a more Bible based lifestyle altogether.

Here's a quote from a study that was done not long ago.
The next generation is already calling it quits on traditional church. Next Sunday, look around, two thirds of the young people in your church are already disengaged from the message they are hearing. And it’s not just happening on the nominal fringe; it’s happening in the most solid “Bible-believing” churches.

I see. A certain music professor may have tweaked those particular stats....
I wonder what they are across the board.

I am not sure what you mean here. I was not trying to "spin" anything, just bring some logical balance the original premise.
Also, I am unclear on your next statement? Who is harvesting weeds? Perhaps if you could explain your statement more clearly, I could be properly insulted.
Thanks.
