Update: They feel that the heart rate and blood pressure dropping is because his bowels have not closed off, which is a natural occurrence for any baby and especially a preemie. I don't know what that means. LOL! So, he is having some sort of reflux problem and needs to be burped for a longer period until this situation corrects itself. They are going to give her some medicine to help with this and will still monitor him to make sure they are correct with the assessment.

Thank you for posting the picture. I can't imagine how you must feel - wanting to hold him and not being able to yet.... Hopefully, that doesn't last much longer!

Thank you!! I want to get an updated picture because his nose doesn't look like theirs. LOL! She said it's changing as he progresses. I haven't seen him, so I don't know.
She said that after talking to the doctor, she feels better about everything. I'm happy for that. She sounded very happy on the phone this morning.

OMW ........I'm dying! PO you are crazy! When I was reading that I was trying to figure out how in the world those two things related.
He does look Hispanic - I thought your SIL must have been.
