Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
Breaking news:
After a few weeks on the trail, the "Texas Firebrand" has achieved a solid positive unfavorable to favorable ratio with American voters. It is interesting to note that he is alone in this achievement.
Selling kids to private prisons and defending foreign businesses when they steal US patents, though unimportant to corn-pone Texas voters who need a red or blue button to save them the time of knowing anything about their candidates when they vote straight ticket, is not really connecting with the rest of America.
Cruz, who thinks this is unfair, is reportedly considering a class-action lawsuit against American voters, after which he will retire to Israel or China where they really appreciate the value of pay-for-service representation where the goods are awarded to the highest bidder.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
Our resident anti-Semitic member hates Ted Cruz for his support of Israel so much that he doesn't check his facts - blowing smoke. Maybe he lives in Colorado where he gets his legal marijuana.
This is where some of that $32 million was spent - attack ads - that didn't work in the Senate race against Dewhurst and Ted Cruz.
Quote:
David Dewhurst says Ted Cruz represents a Chinese company found guilty of stealing U.S. blueprints
Our ruling
Matteis’s comment about the word "guilty" strikes us as valid; viewers might take "guilty" in Dewhurst's ad as hinting that Cruz represents someone convicted of a criminal act. This is not so.
Cruz is representing a Chinese firm found liable for stealing blueprints. We rate Dewhurst’s claim as Mostly True.

Quote:
A Texas super PAC is airing a TV ad that features a distraught mother who says Ted Cruz, a lawyer, “should be absolutely ashamed of himself” for representing a key figure in Pennsylvania’s infamous “kids for cash” scandal.
It is possible that Fonzo is talking about how much her family is entitled to under the agreement reached between Cruz’s client (Mericle) and the victims. The Scranton Times-Tribune reported on Feb. 29 that a state judge approved the agreement and that it would pay juveniles sentenced by the two judges between $500 and $8,200. But Fonzo said her son served time in prison, and those children would receive at least $5,000 if they were imprisoned in one of the new prisons built by Mericle and at least $1,000 if imprisoned in another facility.
In either case, Cruz had nothing to do with the creation of the fund or how much it pays victims. He was not one of the attorneys listed on the agreement. If anything, Cruz’s only involvement in the case would have resulted in more — not less — money for victims.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
Its good to know that even those Texas corn pone voters who need that red button to vote straight ticket acknowledge that Cruz represented both mentioned clients in both mentioned cases.
The dimmer voters can be identified by their slightly hurt and puzzled looks and "whats wrong with that" hand-wringing and though they try in every way to divert attention away from Cruz and even blame the victim, sort of like rednecks in a rape trial, even the dumbest, loudest, and most talkative of them, while howling about it, always validate these simple little facts:
1. Cruz represented these things
2. Cruz tried to argue to courts that these things are OK
3. Cruz's sleazebag clients not only lost their original cases, they lost their appeals
The best a Cruz supporter can do? "Foreign companies stealing intellectual property from America arent committing a CRIME.....so its ok to defend them..."
Yeah, no kidding - but it should be a crime. Under the leadership of a Ted Cruz it never will be. To me, being found liable for damages caused by stealing American inventions means you did something wrong. If you tried to defend that, and it was done by murdering red commies, then you're a traitor to America and American workers.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
lol, ya...being partial to kingdoms myself, i would have no problems there, anyway. But i think it bears repeating that even if everyone in the country voted for the flying spaghetti monster for potus, he would not hold the office. You have absolutely no say in who your potus is, and all the arguments to the contrary are surely illusions.

I don't think I can agree with you there. I've been involved in burning the phone lines to my representatives on issues and we were heard. The phone lines were burning when Obama and Reid tried to push gun control measures. They lost that big time. Reagan was slated to lose his election, but he won. Netanyahu had many working against him, including our own President and he won.

hmm, you say those as if they were good things...lol. I can certainly admit that i would rather have good guys in office than bad; i'm just not sure if humans can accomplish that! When is the last time an unknown, shepherd-type came from nowhere and won office, iow. I guess it does happen more locally; but i am convinced that the last democratically elected potus was assassinated.

It always starts locally. And if you say you want good guys in office, you can't sit on your derriere and not do anything about it and then say it can't be done. There is no logic in that point of view.

i say i would prefer them, and even that is just a nod to my innate vanity. Satan runs that kingdom, of this i am assured. I want no offices, period. I have none, that i recognize. They mean "the world" to me. And good luck catching me sitting down, i don't even own a couch. So, a difference in perspectives, perhaps.
I have noted quite strong evidence that when the polits are ignored, en masse, they run to get back in front of us. So, i can't help but see Christians voting as just putting off the solution, as long as they vote within the confines set up by satan.

I wasn't really speaking of you, in general, as sitting on a couch. Just speaking to the issue of inaction.
Anyway, gotta run again. Have a party to decorate for - massive stuff to haul in and set up.
