I actually mentioned this while teaching Wednesday night.

But church is not God. Why call it putting an Idol before church.
If I were to hear such an opinion from a Pastor today?........ sounds cult like

Amen. Can we include those who are chronic latebugs when it comes to dismissal?

One of my pet peeves is people being late for church --- Yet, they can be on time for work and any where else they go!

Me too.
That speaks loudly and clearly about priorities.

Most generally, I have found that these people are always on time for everything else...
I mentioned this very issue a few weeks ago when I preached about the fear of God, and our respect for Him. I also mentioned it a couple of weeks later when I preached on having an intimate relationship with God.
People just keep coming in later and later....

I've been to churches where starting times were just suggestions. In fact, the pastor showed up 45 minutes late, and walked on the platform!

This one is on time for Church. Numero uno priority.
My wife being from the Philippines had to work on that.
That is one area I won't compromise in.
One of my pet peeves though is people who are to early.
I have had people come to a meeting a 1/2 hour early than wonder why they have to wait.
