Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but the idea of a couple "coupling off" on a sub seems either impractical or an event that would have to involved the entire 160 sailor crew.
I think the biggest "risk" is that the bonds which form undersea could lead to a dalliance once the crew is ashore. But that risk exists everywhere already.
There have already been women on subs since at least the 1960's.
