Not all Dramamine has Meclizine, so make sure and read the active ingredient. The 'less drowsy' formula should have Meclizine.

I had a painful ear ache in November of 2010. On Thanksgiving I went deaf in the affected ear. When I got home I poured something into my ear. I do not remember if it was hydrogen peroxide or warm olive oil. anyway... I could feel something in my ear. I shoved a cotton swab into the ear canal. I twisted the swab a bit. then I yanked it out. There was a huge piece of mushy ear wax on the swab.

If you can't afford the doc, do a search on some natural antibiotics and start taking them asap and drink a lot of OJ, buy some garlic gloves and drizzle oil on it, cover and microwave for one minute.....eat everyday. If it gets worse you're gonna have to go to the doc though.

Re: HELP! Ear Infection w/ Dizzy Spells!
Ok...I don't know if this will help, but fill a bath tub full of cooking oil (olive is preferred) and bath in it for 15 min. Then get out and jump up and down in from of your loved ones for 5 min or until they call the paddy wagon to come and get you...
Im not sure if this will help but...hey might as well give it a shot

DO NOT go to the Dr! Just pray and fast, but do not go to the Dr. They're of the debbil. Also, they'll stick the pointy end of the flashlight up inside your ear and no telling what they'll see in there.
Ok, go to the Dr.

Re: HELP! Ear Infection w/ Dizzy Spells!
For an inner ear infection, there is not much a doctor is going to do. Antibiotics usually won't do a thing, because an inner ear infection is usually viral, and it just has to run its course. Antibiotics only help with bacterial infections.
You are welcome to go see a doctor, but it is possible they will just prescribe you some meclizine, and lots of rest, liquids, and hopefully no antibiotics, because if it is inner ear, it is a viral thing. My husband has had several go-rounds with inner ear, with dizziness, and it just takes a while to get over, which is not pleasant news, I'm sure.
Garlic in olive oil brings some relief, as can heat, but mostly rest, lots of liquids and some meclizine to help with the dizziness is the best route you can go.
Note... you can get meclizine without a prescription, you just have to ask the pharmacist for it, as they don't sell it out on the shelves, but keep it behind the counter. But it does not require a prescription.
