Re: To Sleep, To Sleep, Perchance To Dream...

As people age, and go into their golden years, it becomes somewhat normal to need less and less sleep. Sometimes, it's not the quantity of sleep that matters, as much as the quality.

If you are overweight, snore often when you sleep, feel more fatigued after you have slept, I recommend talking to your doctor about getting a sleep study. There are lots of different issues and conditions that affect sleep, but a very common condition is sleep apnea, which over time, especially if complicated with the comorbidity of heart disease, or etc. can be fatal.

When a person stops breathing during sleep, even if only for a minute, it puts an incredible strain on all of the vital organs, which desperately need oxygen at all times. Weakened organs lead to disease of organs, hence the dangers of undiagnosed and untreated sleep apnea.

I have sleep apnea and use a cpap machine, and it has been one of the best things to happen to me healthwise in years. I therefore highly recommend getting a sleep study if you are experiencing any sleep disturbances to see if sleep apnea, or another treatable condition, is the root of the problem.

Before going on testosterone replacement you would need to know all that. But, testosterone replacement should be performed by other means first. Learn as much as you can for yourself. Doctors are too gung ho in wanting to give the treatment. So it is up to you to do your homework. Playing around with hormone balance isn’t a good idea if you don’t know what is actually going on.

I’m aware. Thanks, though. It just pricey. Maybe I can get it cheap in Mexico. Lol.

No way, and I am not saying that testosterone wouldn't be quality.
Only a doctor who knows what he is doing in the field of testosterone can help you. Also bro science off of forums is dangerous, but are only opinions and should be taken that way. Even test enhancers which are supplements shouldn't be taken by the average Joe on the street. But if they do you need to know and study all the ingredients. Because one which is an estrogen blocker known as DIM (Diindolylmethane) isn't an estrogen blocker, but a TESTOSTERONE killer.
Some supplement companies unknowingly put into the Testosterone enhancements, DIM (Diindolylmethane). Because they believe it to enhance testosterone by blocking estrogen, but it does the exact opposite in males.

In short, don't do anything without good quality research and guidance form a doctor who knows what is going on.

Concerning doctors, I only find health clinics for men that popped up over night. I don’t trust them.

I understand, and those places can't help.

Anyone who has access to a lap pool and knows how to swim can easily increase their ability to get a good night's sleep.
