Re: Divorce and remarriage

There are a lot of places Old Testament , that speaks of it being unlawful for a man to take a wife in such and such situation.
It didn’t say he couldn’t take her as a wife, it just says it is an unlawful marriage.

The opportunity or requirement for marriage soon followed, or at least they were not considered married.

Truth is , divorce is honored more than marriage in the hour in which we live.

What consummated fornication?
We know physical relationships don’t consummate marriage , else fornication ( the act before marriage) would have no existence.

Why do you want your view to be true?

My view espouses the truth. Therefore to be right with God the truth is necessary.

It is important to me to let those who read these threads ,know that there are people who have a different view of the scriptures.

Yes, and most see you are hermeneutically wanting.

How does two become one flesh?

Were vows read in the old covenant like we have now?

Genesis 24:67
[67] And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.

When did Rebekah become his wife?

So you think fornication consummated the marriage?
