Pray that we can go back--btw if you think thats funny, you should see the cows casually walk down the street if front of our hotel.
But those cow are a big part of their food source. They make butter and cheese from their milk, plus drink the milk and buttermilk (which I drank as well).

Yes, I have seen documentaries about that. And don't they consider some animals sacred?

Sister Alvear I had a burden for missions more than 20 yrs ago, and had to wait for this opportunity to come. ( I knew it would, I just didnt know I would have to wait that long)
After being in India it is really hard to come back home to life as usual- that is for sure.

The Hindus do, they do not serve beef in many places that we ate at.

This is exactly how I feel about Kenya!! It's hard to explain if you've never been there.

I know, I am getting a mixture of reactions from folks since I have been home.
One thing I like about India is that they do not stay in doors and most people are outside interacting with each other, I was never never bored.
I hope I get to go to Kenya one day myself!

My friends and family here probably get tired of me talking about Africa, but it's just in my blood now. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks!!!! I read every book about Africa that I can get my hands on, religious or secular.

I know what you mean, Keith and I did the same thing (read books about India). I went to a family gathering and wore one of my Punjabi's, I bought a new one while in India that I love and wish I had more like it.
I am really fascinated by these village people. Meeting them was a high light of our visit.
