This is very much the case... but Bro Flowers is a lot more liberal than the first 2 named as far as I have been informed as of the last year. I could be wrong as this is just hearsay but... Yea... as far as UPC and Conservative.. youve named em!
I will say that I go to one of the 2 named and it is an awesome church, our pastor has never harped on standards from the pulpit. Its a very large and growing rapidly church... many different daughter works and adding more daily in our state and throughout the world. We are in the process of also beginning to start sending groups of ministers around the world and starting more daughter works internationally and our pastor completely has a vision for the lost and I am so thankful to sit under him as my pastor!

Amazing Grace,
Me thinks you have heard wrong. I have visited most of the churches discussed here and I would say Bro. Flowers is conservative. He has been preaching a series on "Holiness" that reminds me of my home church. It is as conservative as Bro. Hargroves.

If thats "progressive" I dont think that will be the place for me. Now, I understand a lot of ministries dont want to be associated or considered Apostolic anymore but that is the basics for being saved and if the statement of faith does not reflect that coupled with it being taught at the church, hmmmmmmm, I dont think thats ok.

Fortunately I have had time to cool down before responding, so I will just say this. I can acknowledge and appreciate your opinion - in spite of the fact that you have discounted the faith, beliefs and salvation of our entire church family and ministry. Our website is not an all inclusive bullet list of our core beliefs, but rather a simple explanation for those who don't know God. You can call us whatever you like, whether it be liberal or progressive, but we are not a watered down version of the apostolic doctrine.
Would still love to have you visit. God bless.

Just keep your eyes peeled the next few Sunday's for that visitor wih one eyebrow arched and a look of disapproval on her face as she looks around to see if all of your saints meet her dress code and hair standards!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
