I have that as an allergy. I don't want to have to go through that again. It was terrible.
I bet. And it would only get worse the more you are exposed, which is why I tell people to list it in their allergy records.

Demerol does nothing for me. Thankfully, the only severe pain I've ever dealt with is the headaches I had for a couple years and the brain surgery that followed. I no longer have to take pain meds outside of Ibuprofen a couple times a month.

I read about your childbirth experience. OUCH!

CC1,

Take care of yourself. You're blessed to be able to take morphine. Morphine makes breathing almost impossible for me.

God bless the man who invented PCA pumps. I had a Demerol pump after my 2nd and 3rd c-sections. (I was in mag recovery after my 1st c-section, so they kept me pretty heavily sedated.)

Morphine=bad memories!!!!!! Now Stadol and Nubain together worked pretty good. I didn't feel ANYTHING!!!! That was some good stuff. Only thing....I say about 4 of everyone. It appeared to me that there were about 100 people in my room when only there was actually 25 or so. I saw lots of stuff but didn't feel anything.

CC1, sorry to hijack your thread, but you get to feeling better, dude!!!!!! We are praying for you, buddy. In Jesus Name!!!

That's a side effect of Morphine, but if it's a really bad reaction, list it as an allergy!
