Re: Serpent seed doctrine & Evolution theory.
Well, and the lack of Cain in Adam's line, in Gen 5? I'm not buying that he was dropped because he murdered.

Re: Serpent seed doctrine & Evolution theory.
Murray just had a good word on this--did they cover their mouths, after "eating" that fruit (surely a fig, as "fig leaves")? nope...

Let me add this one observation. If he was dropped because he murdered, David wouldn't be in the lineage of Jesus.

Re: Serpent seed doctrine & Evolution theory.
Pretty much verifies that, to me at least; but as I am groping my way to this new idea, that of helping any...Christian (I'll say, to keep the waters clear) whose interpretation I don't agree with try to make their point, and then possibly actually both becoming edified, I wonder the arguments here against this doctrine? How would someone who doesn't believe this explain this lack of Cain in Adam's line, or any other points that might need to be made here? ty

I never did like the idea of evolution...I don't like the idea of thinking of myself as a mutant.

Funny; I saw God in evolution before I got "saved." I think the biggest problem one will have with continued denial here is that you are going to end up in the position of the Catholic church v Galileo, et al, ad nauseum. The truth is just going to slowly overtake one in this position, imo. You can only really deny scientific theories; I don't believe denying facts, or at least denying truth, "knowledge," is what God wants for us.
In thinking of "yourself" as "a mutant," aren't you identifying with the vessel that contains "you," rather than you? Word

Re: Serpent seed doctrine & Evolution theory.
Ok, and just a bit more on this "serpent seed" thing, by which I mean only that satan had sex with Eve, surely via proxy or something but I don't really care. This seems to be verified at "and I will put enmity between his seed and your seed," which is offspring, at least until you start having kids by planting seeds, and verified by Jesus, and in several other places in the Bible that we have always taken figuratively that say, more or less "the devil is their father." Take this literally.
Now, I'm not sure to what lengths some slick preacher may have distorted this doctrine; no doubt it has been distorted, like any other Biblical truth, but you will do yourself a favor to get settled here some kind of way, as a lot of the Bible is going to read differently when you have adjusted your premise here.
"Kenites" means "sons of Cain," and satan is Cain's father.

Abel is not there either in Genesis 5.
