Re: Games, Books & Entertainment
I used to help Bro Jim Yohe set up the Lighthouse Ranch booth at General Conference long ago. He used to have a suitcase filled with Louis L'Amour books which he would trade and sell with other ministers.
He told me only two types of books were allowed on the ranch, the Bible and Louis L'Amour.

Amen to that brother.

Louise L' Amour?
Did he do a Bruce Jenner?
Changed his name from Louie to Louise?

Amen Brother, & be in the will of God!
While the Will of God is always right & fulfilling, it isn't always fun at least to the flesh!

I can't see Apostolic youth playing it and it being a good thing. The brother who comes to Bible study says he witnesses through the game? Still have no idea how that is achieved through a video game on line. I was told they are able to talk to other players? But if people are getting killed, by guns, arrows, incantation???? Plus ghouls? Magic jewelry? I don't know, but I think War Craft must be an indicator that something not Apostolic is happening. I have no time to talk about games with people who come to the Bible study, and the other people at the people study weren't interested in the brother talking about the witnessing through the video game. Time proves all things, if he keep attending I will find out more about World of Warcraft and how it pertains to godly living.
Thank you beardless for your enormous contribution to this thread and answering my questions.

Some years ago, I was on Yahoo games & there was a first person shooter game, where you would be a SWAT Agent shooting bad guys.
It was a crude game, & I wasn't too bad at it, but after shooting a few bad guys, (albeit fake & totally computer generated) I did not feel right about it & quit it.
I mostly enjoy playing solitaire!
