If you can get on here and say that Bishop Jakes "ain't worth a nickle" I will tell you that you that he has baptized more people than you will ever dream of and you don't know what your talking about.
Some of you are just jealous.
Bishop Jakes is a great man of God.

I don't know anything about what Bishop Darby may or may not have said concerning Jakes. However, by your saying that he is cultic assures me that you know absolutely nothing about the man. He is a respected Bishop and Foreign Missions leader within the COOLJC. He always struck me as a very balanced, Christian Gentlemen. So do you know this man or are you making this evalution on the basis of just what one person said? Concerning the website, the Church of Jesus Christ carried on just fine for for Two-thousand years without updated websites-- what does an outdated website prove about a person? Jack. I have enjoyed a lot of what you've had to say, but your calling a distinguished leader "cultic" is way over top. I'm sure you will get a pass on this though, because the Sphere of Pentecostalism that he represents is not to be found on this forum.

Caston, please read the forum rules, particularly about preacher bashing.
You are welcome to disagree with Jakes on any issue, but name calling like this is not welcome.
Thanks

Hey JACK, You might want to read his web site! When I lived in Deland I visited there (and drove by there MANY times) and yes, he was nice, kind, hospitable - but STRANGE & CULTIC - Just like the COOLJC! He may be a distinguished leader in his own little group - but for him to say that BISHOP T. D. JAKES "ain't worth a nickle" is so way over the top that I WOULD NOT WANT TO BE ANYWHERE CLOSE to his "Sphere of Pentecostalism".

So now one of the oldest and respected Organizations in Oneness Pentecostalism is "Strange and Cultic"? This is so silly that it doesn't even warrant a response. I have numerous friends who are Ministers in this organization and one made a profound difference in my own life who was a bi-vocational Social Worker, there are a lot of good men you are attacking as "strange and cultic". It seems to me that the few ways that the COOLJC differs from other black organizations are that they forbid Divorce and that they refuse to ordain women.....I think both of these things are POSITIVE. Bishop Bonner in NY has a Television Broadcast, the difference between him and the TBN crowd that you run after is that he hasn't thrown the doctrine out the window. You probably would lable the UPCI, AMF and other Oneness groups "strange and cultic", but that would probably ruffle to many feathers around here huh?
Also concerning what Bishop Darby said, I think this person must have not heard him right or something. I don't think he would say that ANY person made in the image of God is not worth a nickel. This would seem to contridict what he said in a personal conversation I had with him: he seemed to have a lot of confidence in the faith healer A.A. Allen, who was solidly Trinitarian.
