My most dis-liked song ?? .......

We are Able to Go Up and Take the country. To possess the land from Jordan to the Sea - Though the giants may be there our way to hinder, God will surely give the victory...

Now....... Regarding the I'm a Pentecostal song..... It certainly isn't my favorite, but I don't understand all of you that dislike it so much. I know for a fact that it sold may copies (single and full album) - a much requested song. My greatest problem with it is the line.... "we've cranked up the music"

That is my problem with most churches!

Stop and think about it: There are Vertical songs (those sang TO the Lord and glorifying Him) Then there are Horizontal songs - (those that are to explain or tell a story to others) - This happens to be a horizontal song that very much explains us ...

As I remember, you are from CLC so I figured you would defend this tragic piece of lyrical demagoguery. You said you don't like the line, "We've cranked up the music." But Sweet Pea, that's the entirety of the problem, here. It's "We this", "We that", "I do this", "I do that", "Me, me, me, me, me, me, me." "Please everyone notice me". Ugh.

It sold a lot of albums? I'm sure Than is happy about that. Requested? Whoopty-doo. It's a song that helps pentecostals deal with their insecurities by bragging about how good they think they are.

I'm not "defending" it - It certainly isn't my favorite either! I just think that there are MANY other songs out there that are worse...
