Nope. Just want the inconsistencies to stop. I don't care if she wears 5 cameos in her hair. Just don't condemn me for wearing a necklace.
a necklace of gold, silver, plastic or leather is wrong but a cloth necklace (scarf or necktie) is OK?
a bracelet is wrong but a wrist watch is OK?
a wedding ring is OK but a class ring, birthstone, or engagement ring is wrong?
ornamentation/jewelry worn on the body is wrong but is OK if worn in the hair or on clothing? I remember one Pentecostal girl in our high school who was not allowed to buy a class ring but was allowed to buy the design/setting as a pin to wear on her clothing.

A current trend in necklaces is a large flower hanging on a ribbon or chain. That same flower is acceptable in the hair, or pinned on a dress, but totally off-limits if it's hanging from a ribbon or chain. Those are the inconsistencies that have always driven me crazy.
If she likes her hair, I guess that's all that matters.
Of more importance to me is the $64,000 question:
Is someone pulling our leg or did St. Mark REALLY find someone? If so, if the picture on this thread "the" one?

Did this girl give you permission to take her picture, post it on AFF and subsequently take apart her appearance?
I remember a certain former UPCI preachers wife's picture being posted on another forum... comments made over her appearance and AFF being in outrage over it (well deserved outrage, I completely agreed it was disgusting behavior to post a lady's photo and pick them apart on a Christian forum)
I find it no less disgusting here.
I sure hope you know this girl personally and she is ok with her picture being taken and posted on a public "Christian" forum, for all to comment.
To all of you...If this were one of your own daughters being talked about... how exactly would that make you feel?
Opinions on "standards" or "double standards" are one thing... this is something different.
FTR, I think her curls are sweet and I hope St. Mark does find a sweet girl.

Now that's straining it a bit... It makes it ok that no one specifically said this girl was backslidden because of her appearance, we can still post a young girls picture on a Christian forum and rip it apart...
I won't belabor the point.

I am in no way ripping her apart. I apologize for offending anyone.
