I think Ferd has given some history of the same situation. Not that sometimes a split would be a good thing either. I have been in churches where we would gladly welcome SOME to leave.... every church has them.

Simply not the same thing seems to apply here if Thumper's story is correct.

Interesting comment....

Jesus is the head of the church. Maybe He wouldn't mind having a church in every house, on every block in every city, etc , etc.

Church politics at it's best (or worst).

OH it is correct alright.

The funny part of it was that DS and Dis. Sec were the ones who really pushed it through. Then it was their churches that were drained when this new guy started to proseltize.

If the denominal churches are converted in town and all want to become UPC will this be allowed or do they all have to sit under the UPC pastor?
Not to worry it has never and will never happen.

It can happen if we'd take the limits off of God and just allow Him to be God!!!

Where IS Ferd- this is one if not THE favorite subject for him.....

I know of a church that 25 yrs ago had 17 members. Today it is at the huge level of 19...... not to discredit the man there, but another man across town has 250 and a pair of Spanish Apostolic works run 600+. If this type of man would complain, the man is kingdom minded not mindful of the Kingdom.
