Yes, I gave up my diet Dr. Pepper about six months ago. It was one of the easier things. Drinking water and green tea mostly.
Try some tequila! It must have something going for it if it is in every single receipt that PO posts here! I keep telling her that it is ALSO very good to drink, or make mixed drinks with, not just cooking.
Good for you!!!! I very rarely drink a soft drink, but when I did, I noticed that the diet drink would make me profusely hungry an hour or two later.
I was putting together a wedding shower Saturday before last and didn't have time to get something to drink. They didn't have filtered water in the facility and so I grabbed a Coke! I was sick for four days. Man, it sure tastes good when you haven't had one in a long while, but the after effects are horrible.
Your losing your immunity. Someday, just like the Indians here several hundred years ago, someone will come to your house with a cold -and it'll kill you.

I can PROVE I do not drink or use Tequila - my husband is still alive! I don't care how much of the Holy Ghost you have, Tequila will not stop one nefarious act.

Myths
Those that oppose drinking distilled water claim that since it does not have added fluoride, iron, calcium, magnesium or other minerals, you are depriving your body of vital nutrients. Certified Water Specialist Joe Letorney refutes these claims, explaining that to receive your daily value of calcium, magnesium or iron, you need to drink between 646 and 848 glasses of water per day. These vitamins and minerals should be obtained through diet. Another unproven claim is that distilled water leaches essential nutrients from your body, causing more harm than health.
try Jasmine green tea. I LOVE it. (no girlie jokes!)
i drink it hot with no sugar.
think i will have some now. thank you
Okay, I will try that and see what I think. If I use a sweetener, I always use Raw Honey. And, yes, calorically, it is the same as table sugar, but has Vitamins C, B6, B3, B12, B1, B5. You can have 1 Tbsp per day. One tsp. is plenty in a cup of tea.
