gimme a break, she examines the emotionally stunted from pretty much every angle. If you got defensive, well gee i wonder why. She is hardly being a raging feminist or anything. Yeesh.

Re: Own, Apologize, Repair
Now i am just asking you if you can support any of these "respectful statements" about "Own, Apologize, Repair" that you have made, being as how you more or less completely trash the whole article, "suspect it is TIC," IOW a joke to you, etc.
i guess this will be stuff that is glaringly obvious to you, given these charges you have made, but i have reread the article a couple times at this point and just can't make those connections, even reading as an editor. So please just post your quotes, you shouldn't even have to really go into any more explanation at this point, as we are just talking impressions now.

Re: Own, Apologize, Repair
Shaz - still wondering if you know the person who wrote the article?

Re: Own, Apologize, Repair
yes, and i'm still wondering if you'll ever comment on it? Look, i've yet to read an article that i agreed with 100%, i'm sure i could find something beside the point to rip on in this one too, if i looked. The point remains that this is sometimes a difficult enough concept to get across to entitled adults who are specifically seeking counseling, let alone a kid who is still forming their ego.
And when your whole society is geared toward raising its members to adolescence and no further, it becomes a roadblock to further spiritual growth. People should not be adrift in their 20s, still trying to "find themselves;" this is a uniquely First World phenomenon, and i doubt any American reading this could give us a decent definition of "codependence" if they tried, here in the most codependent country on the planet. And this is not an accident, imo.

Re: Own, Apologize, Repair
I already commented on it and you rejected those comments.
Shaz - if I get time I will re-read and give you some more in-depth comments.
I still owe CB a speech to text of a sermon that I have not had time to do yet, either.

ok, cool. you commented, but provided no support, so don't think i have rejected your comments so much as perceive them currently in a light other than what you might want to project.

Re: Own, Apologize, Repair
um, iow i am open to your view here, but you really haven't shown it to me yet, and never mind that we haven't even started discussing the point of the article--your attack of the author seems to be a deliberate way to avoid the point, especially if you don't back it up.

Re: Own, Apologize, Repair
Esaias, you too. Assuming all your prejudices about this person are correct, what is your position on the content of the article? You support personal responsibility, it seems to me, so i am kind of surprised at your reaction. Is there something in Own, Apologize, Repair that bugs you, or is it the second half of the article that turned you away?
