I would not have gotten so touchy, had it not been the implication concerning my credibility that you guys are making.

You should have said you were dealing on a used car to start with. For all practical purposes a program car does not have a "sticker". You can look at what was it's sticker when it was new but it is used.

Now fourteen grand for a used Impala that listed new for $21,000 I can see as being within reason! Back in 2000 I paid about ten grand for a Taurus that listed for probably $18000 new. It was a one year old program car with about
12,000 miles on it.

I also paid $25,000 for a one year old 2004 Lincoln Town Car that listed for $42,000 new.

How many miles does this program Impala have on it?

We (at least I) were referring to credibility from the dealers point of view. He had to think you weren't serious. I meant no offence. I have no reason to question your credibility.

Exactly. I meant the same thing. I have no doubt that Eastman Kodak is a fine upstanding man.

Yup, as I stated in an earlier post that little tidbit of info completely changed the scenario. He should have disclosed that up front.

My last two cars have been program cars that were one year old when I purchased them and I got very good deals.

I personally don't think ANY offer is unreasonable... if that is what you want to pay..

I recently purchased a 96 Honda Accord (102,000 Miles.Just broke in for a Honda).. the lady wanted 4600.00 I offered 3600.00 Cash and she sold me the car...

It's not a question to me of what the car is worth.. It is what do I as a consumer want to pay...

I purchased in 2005 a Avalanche fresh off the trailer ...sticker price 36,500.. I purchased the truck for 24,300... It didn't matter what they were asking..

It's what I wanted to pay..

I think that is true freedom.. If they don't give you the deal... simply thank them and walk away..

Are there any "unreasonable" offers if you are the seller? If not, I'll give you $8,500 for the Avalanche.

How bad was the Dodge - you did trade the Avalanche for the Dodge?
