Re: What Are You Reading Currently, 2.0
I am going through all the books of Apostolic Handbook Series Complete Set. https://pentecostalpublishing.com/pr...s-complete-set
The link is for the paper version, but I bought the electronic version of all of them individually (epub) for my Kindle. It is cheaper.
Handbook on the Gospels - Completed, somewhat interesting
Handbook on the Book of Acts - Completed, this book was awesome, I enjoyed it.
Handbook on the Pentateuch - Completed, interesting
Handbook on the Historical Books - Completed, somewhat interesting
Handbook on the Psalms and Wisdom Literature - In Progress, I really like this one, going slow.
Handbook on the Prophets
Handbook on the Epistles of Paul
Handbook on the General Epistles and Revelation

Re: What Are You Reading Currently, 2.0
I am currently reading the following:
Mindwise: How We Misunderstand What Others Think, Believe, Feel, and Want by Doctor Nicholas Epley.
I am still also reading Friedman's translation and commentary of the Torah, currently reading Exodus.
In my ESV, I have read through all of Paul's other epistles and am in Hebrews at the moment. In the NASB, I am reading Proverbs.
When I finish the ESV, I will be reading through the Reina-Valera translation.
In NETS, I've just begun 2 Maccabees, having finished 1 Maccabees only just days ago.
I recently finished the following:
Don't Burn This Book: Thinking For Yourself in the Age of Unreason by Dave Ruben.
A warning: while Dave Ruben is popular with many conservatives, the author himself is not a conservative, but a classical liberal, and openly homosexual, and there are some uncouth references to that, along with some unexpected language issues. So, caveat emptor.

That book seems very interesting. The description and comments on Amazon are very good. I'll put in my list. Thanks for sharing. Another one I have in my list to read about the OT is The Art of Biblical Narrative
by Robert Alter. I heard good things about it.

You're welcome. Make certain to read the companion book, The Art of Biblical Poetry by Dr. Alter. Do you have his OT translation with commentary?

Both Friedman and Alter are top shelf scholars.

Getting ready to re-read some John Locke.
And make the teen-ager read it too!

Thanks for the recommendation. Nope, I don't have his commentary. I just found this on Amazon: The Five Books of Moses: A Translation with Commentary by Robert Alter. Is it this one?
