I can't be sorry they passed away, because they're better off than we are right now. Bro. and Sis. Pugh will be sorely missed by all of us, but I'm glad they're with Jesus right now.
It's great that they're together.

March 23, 2010, was the day Jesse Truman Pugh lived for. It was the day J.T. Pugh became a spiritual being and left the cares of life for the splendor of heaven. Bessie Byrl, his mate of 65 years, had told him the day before he left, “let’s go together.” Instead, she sat by his side as he made his journey into the land he had preached about, lived for and believed in since he was 12.

My brother told me today that Bro. Pugh had said in the past more than once that they wanted to "go together". God just honored those wishes.

Ron - were you at the service? I understand that it was very touching! One speaker stated something to the effect:
"Only Brother Pugh could have held up the train long enough for Bessie to get onboard."
