Also anyone, even lil' ole Cindy, should be able to say NO to a bunch of extra junk... Up front is probably best... as in "I'm here to buy a computer with a monitor and a printer today but I do not want to talk about buying anything additional at this time please (insert very sweet smile here).
In this day and age most people has have to have a friend like me to fix everything lol..sometimes I just do it for free and sometimes I charge a small fee say 30 or so

But still my point is if you can look around you might find that warranty cheaper...BB counts on you getting a warranty you won't use..that is how they make money

Ha, I don't live in a city.

But, I am calling my computer friend tomorrow, and ask him how much he will charge to upgrade me. I need more power and speed.

Re: Buying A New Computer

Cindy, did you ever get a computer? I noticed that the HSN (Home Shopping Network) Special Value of the day today is a 17" Quad core Gateway laptop with 4gb RAM for $579 that they will split over 6 payments of around $96 per month to your credit card or VISA debit card. They don't charge sales tax if you order online so depending on where you live that can save quite a bit of money also. I think shipping is bout $12.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I may be able to get a Dell with 6 gb RAM on or after the first, locally. I will be paying cash. I want at least 6gb RAM.

Re: Buying A New Computer

Go with one that has room for more RAM Cindy, leave yourself room for upgrades. Look for one that has space for 12 gigs RAM.

Re: Buying A New Computer

More memory space=less chance you'll have to buy a new computer next year.
