I resent you lumping The Flying Nun in there with those charletons. She was the most real of them all.

Brother I have to call-em-like-I-see'em. The Flying Nun during a Benny Hinn crusade told people that Jesus would appear (physically) at all of Benny Hinn's crusades. Another thing, the Flying Nun also would pray for people and a gold rosary would slide out their nose, some of these people were found to have gold fillings in the teeth of their house pets after they had them prayed for.

so sad for the gospel's sake that things like this go on...however let's do what God has called us to do and keep our eyes on the goal...Let's watch our hearts...for the writer told us how deceitful the heart really is.
Blessings to all.

This may not go over very well.... But I would not want to go to church where a pastor made much more than the median income of the church they pastor - at least concerning the income from "their ministry".

I have been to without Walls numerous times and it is a very nice church to go to. Many elderly people, shut-ins especially, send money, more than they can afford...for people they don't know to pray for them when they are sick and feeble. They are not sought out to take advantage of, but they seek healing or financial gain by sending their money to others. My grandfather did this trying to bargain with God on many occasions.
Paula and Randy White are responsible for what they do with the funds, but they are not to blame for people spending their personal incomes unwisely.
This is my opinion.
Blessings, Rhoni

I have no idea who Paula White is for I live in a complete different world than most...however would it not be best for us to mind our own business and look at the souls within our reach and minister to them...
PW and all of us will one day give account to the Judge of the earth...and He keeps exact books on us all...Mom Alvear

I thought something was so interesting last night. We were in a poverty stricken village. I mean very poor people. There was not enough room for all that were present in the tiny rented hall. The pastor had saved a small rented plastic chair for Brother Alvear and me on the tiny pulpit. That was all that would fit! I am not a pulpit person. I don't like to sit on pulpits but since he had someone to lead us through the crowd to get there. I took my seat. I just sat and watched as probably 25 or more people had their turn to testify or sing. There was no music only Brother Alvear's worn accordion...It did not seem to bother them, they worshipped and prayed for a long time. Their smiles of happiness were contagious. Different from the 3 songs and a testimony some places…
I thought, "it takes so little to make some people so happy.”
Many times people say if I just had a car I would work for God and God gives them a car but they don't keep their vow...if I just had this or that...My friend those people never do anything but blessed is the man or woman that steps out on nothing and declares, "I will work for God."
Thank the Lord for the many nice things of your country but remember there are people that have nothing and love God and worship knowing they will go to bed hungry...
All those believe it and claim it is mostly an emotional thing and has nothing to do with the real principles of living and working for God.
I know this post is off the subject but I thought about it reading these others posts. I wonder do we really KNOW what the real gospel is? Do we really know the ONE that said, “Foxes have holes birds have nests but the son of man hath not where to lay his head.”
I am afraid many of us do not really know...
