Well, perhaps not impossible, but she wouldn't be wearing them anymore after that. Not if she didn't want to get arrested for indecent exposure.

Correct. Neither Geber NOR Gibbor is limited to warrior. As you can read from the post, Gibbor relates back to Geber.
The point is there was a reason Geber, "valiant man/warrior," was used and not Iysh, which simply means "man, male."

I don't disagree that Deut 22:5 can be interpreted as a prohibition against cross dressing. My disagreement would be your interpretation of cross-dressing. A woman wearing women's apparel, including women's pants, is NOT cross-dressing. A Scottish man wearing a kilt, or an Arab wearing a robe is NOT cross-dressing.

Re: Newbie question!
Hi all!
Thank you so much for the feedback. Some of it I have to re read because it is a lot! Lol. I have sought The Lord for a whole year now on this subject. I am still waiting on Him for that! He has convicted me on earrings which is a a wonderful testimony. He asked what the difference was between my earrings and my naval piercing (which I took off as soon as I gave my life to Jesus!)! Those earring came off fast! Lol. He also convicted me on wearing color on my face. Make up. I do wear a light sheer foundation to cover acne and brown spots. And that's about it. I try to look awake and not like I have been up 24 hrs. Lol. I have always sought The Lord on this skirt/pant issue. And I've asked for convictions and I have asked for signs. But I have yet to receive anything. I do wear skirts about 3 times a week bc I do like them. And I wear them to church bc I feel like I will be judged if I don't. I have worn pants to prayer night and there were some stares but no one said anything.
Yesterday I took a CPR class and I wore pants and a t shirt for comfort since I was going to be performing CPR and it is pretty tiring.
This whole thing is frustrating and I just want to do anything to please my Jesus! I need him to give me conviction. I don't mean to start a debate. I just wanted to get some clarity. On the book of Deuteronomy and why this one verse is used for the skirt/pant subject. I will continue seeking God for clarification.

Deuteronomy is law, we do not follow the law, we are under grace, those who want to follow the law have abandoned Christ.

Where did I ever say or suggest the examples you cited?

Revelation 14:12King James Version (KJV)
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The commandments of God refers to the 10 commandments not to the law of Moses.
Otherwise women need to bring a pair of turtledoves as a sacrifice like Mary did for Jesus.
People would have to bring a sheep for sacrifice every year.
and all the other laws would also need to be followed.

Re: Newbie question!
Don't do anything concerning the skirts vs feminine slacks issues until you get clear guidance from the Lord.
I want to encourage you to continue wearing slacks to church. I personally disagree with the idea of women wearing slacks, but to wear skirts because you feel judged by church people is just setting yourself up for disappointment and fatigue. Just live your life for Jesus with HONEST consistency. Don't do anything out of fear of judgment from church people. Don't do anything out of fear of judgment from heathens. Just live your life for Jesus with HONEST consistency.

The primary and perhaps sole designated and distinguishing factor in America and most of the rest of the world between male and female appearance has been the dress or skirt-like article for the female and the pant or trouser item for the male.

While you didn't give an example of a man in a kilt, the message of your posts have been that any woman in pants and any man in a skirt-like item is cross-dressing.
It's true that in America, which took its style from England and France, the women have traditionally worn dresses/skirts while the men wore pants.
Just because something has been a tradition doesn't make it Biblical.
It's tradition in many African villages to walk around buck naked. Be my guest, but I'll keep my clothes on, regardless of their millennium of tradition.
