I am now in my second trimester (14 weeks yesterday)! This week's big developments: The baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his/her thumb. Thanks to brain impulses, his/her facial muscles are getting a workout as his/her tiny features form one expression after another. The kidneys are producing urine, which the baby releases into the amniotic fluid around him/her — a process he/she will keep up until birth. He/she can grasp too. The baby's stretching out and is about the size of a lemon.

This is why drinking a lot of water (at least 1/2 a gallon to 1 gallon) a day is necessary to keep the baby's water clean. One of the reasons anyway.

My wife is continually talking about getting pregnant again...it's amazing! All the women I work with moan and groan about pregnancy, but my wife likes it. We've always planned on having 4 kids, but then last night, she said,"Maybe when we get done with our own kids, I can be a surrogate mom!" LOL I hope she was kidding.

My pregnancy was relatively easy but I'm still not looking forward to another one, and definitely not yet. (My little one was born in March.)
