Where did this whole "body guard" thing come from for ministers?

Some men actually use younger guys to assit the ministry as a means of helping develop the servants heart as they progress into ministry. I see value in that. I also see where it can be, and has been, abused.

I have never seen this sort of thing and the other half of that story is I don't want to see it.

When I read stuff like this thread it just makes me want to shout THANK YOU, JESUS FOR MY FELLOWSHIP.

I like the body guard thing.It reeks of importance.I wonder if its after counseling many mens wives on the no fault divorce thing some
of those guys need bodyguards...know what I mean.....hummmmm.....
