I think it is funny that you can make these kinds of judgments about a man's motives.

Odd how transparent we become sometimes when we start pointing fingers at others.

I think that those who came from a certain generation or era looked upon leadership as faultless. For Laity to ever even question a motive was boderline blasphemy. So it's diffucult to believe that the human nature or mankind rears its ugliness through spiritual "Men of God".

There is a certain kind of Male nature that LOVES to conqurer and divide.
not all men are like this but Barb, I hate to tell you it's true and it's even in Pentecost

Wow!! Not much respect for someone who built something out of nothing...

Can't speak for CA, but when he came to MI in the early 70s, the church had split wide open and had dwindled from 800 to 90 members.

He worked and prayed and strove with people...me being one of those people, teaching us to become.

When he resigned 6 years later, the church membership was back to near 800, with a brand new facility, and a reputation for caring and reaching for souls.

I don't agree on every point, this latest issue in particular, but I wouldn't dare point a finger at his motives.

Apples and oranges.

I said he is not one to bet on a losing horse.

That doesn't mean he should have been elected DS, or even that the men of the Western District always pick the winner.

I'm talking about his ability to make things go, and spot trends, not necessarily his ability as a politician.

He is way too controversial and outspoken to be a very good politician. In order to do that, you have to be willing to compromise your principles sometimes for the sake of the perceived "greater good."

He won't do that.

Isn't NW and Myles Young's church big on video webcasting? I thought they were big movers in ABN Global or whatever that Apostolic internet TV network is called?

It seems to me if that is the case that it would make them persona non grata to many of the conservatves leaving over Res4 when it comes to choosing leaders of the new org.

I guess the packed house at the Dedication of the new building said there are some who still like to see big churches in California Apostolic Land.
