Re: Only Hebrew Old Testament Preserved by God?
Yes, LXX is nothing more than a term used to describe a Greek translation of a OT book.
If anyone disagrees, they can explain what LXX means.

Scott, tell us why the New Testament quotes the LXX?

Re: Only Hebrew Old Testament Preserved by God?
Since the NT is written in Greek, quotes from Hebrew passages are also in Greek.
Lots of different people translated the Hebrew passages into Greek over the centuries at different times and by different people.

Re: Only Hebrew Old Testament Preserved by God?
Did Paul or the others in the NT quote from a specific LXX manuscript ?? Does that specific manuscript still exist today ?
OT quotes in the NT are complex.

Scott, did Jesus actually read from the Greek LXX scroll when He was asked to read in the synagogue?

I don't know off hand.
Did he read from a Hebrew manuscript ? Did he read from a Greek manuscript ? Is there enough in the passage to tell either way ??

"to set the oppressed free" is in the passage in Luke 4:18 but not in the English LXX I read online.

What is missing from the Hebrew is sight to the blind. Scott, is this your first try at this?

Hey Scott? If water causes women to miscarriage then why do you fish from it?
