I really like Bro. Flowers. Would be interesting to hear exactly what he is teaching about holiness. Besides, CM Becton goes to church there and there aren't many finer Christian gentelenn on the face of the earth, IMO.
Bro & Sis. Becton are very good people and I respect them from years ago [30+] up through today. They are consistent and precious people. Sis Flowers is their daughter and she has such a loving and gracious heart. When I shook her hand...she has the most dainty and soft hands...totally match her spirit.
Bro. Flowers has not let down anything his father-in-law built and the foundation there is strong and sure.
If a good, strong, consistent, Apostolic UPCI church is what you are looking for - there is none better.
Oh, I don't know....maybe because anyone with half a brain would choose Texas over Tennessee.
I dearly love Texas but as I pointed out to my wife last night as we opened our front door and stepped outside to a COOL breeze in July, "This would have never happened in Texas in July!!!!".
There are not many places I would rather be than Texas (except June - Sept) but Nashville is one of them.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
Quote from Ethel Goss (widow of 1st UPC Gen Supt. Howard Goss) book "The Winds of God"
From what I was told his daughter is Sis Flowers... therefore he is there retiring with his family
Ah, this maketh sense!

1. I'm not UPC so you can grow or cut your hair all you want. I could care less.
2. I am not female, I'm a DUDE!
Thanks all for the comments. I have my work cut out for me visiting churches believing God will plant me where He wants me to be.
LOL!!!! Sorry about thinking you were a woman. You can still arch an eyebrow though can't you?
If you are not UPC and are seeking a conservative church perhaps Elder Epey can weigh in with GIB and AMF churches in the Dallas area that might be your cup of tea. Hope he sees this.

It happened last year and I thought the world was coming to an end.

You really think I should back down on my beliefs? Call it what you want. Everything that I've said has referred to "me" and "I". Women can wear pants and men skirts in your church if all I care. I was just stating the facts according to your churches website. Everyone on here has been to accomedating with me and my move to Dallas and has welcomed me (wether consevative or liberal) to fellowship with them in their church, however just because someone states that they feel your "statement of faith" is watered down should mean nothing to you.
I welcomed you several times. Now I'm done.

Thats a choice you decided to make.
Oh the drama.

There is a difference between questioning and accusing. Clearly, you are still discovering that difference.

We'll gladly take one more member - we'll just wait for one a little less holier-than-thou.

Brother, I am going to try and step away from this conversation as it is not constructive. I sincerely wish you the best in your search. You and everyone else are always welcome at our church, but please try and leave your attitude at home.

Ok saints, so now that I have physically moved here to Dallas I ask for thine help once again. This city is just way to big with too many churches and I dont think I will ever find an Apostolic Church. Folks have directed me to the "church locator" link on the UPCI page (50+ churches came up). Others have suggested names of Pastors but had no clue the names or areas/town of churches (its kinda hard to google that you know). With me not being off every Sunday its soooooooooo hard to just visit all of these churches a brother is feeling overwhelmed. I hate to be bothersome (to the saints ya know) but I really want a thriving 500+ members conservative apostolic church to go to here in the Dallas Metroplex area. HELP!!!!!!!!!! Ok ok ok, I am done here, but any help will do. (and I am so angry that the Church of Our Lord has no churches here in Dallas at all . . . of all cities).
How is Emmanuel Pentecostal Church Pastor Richard Flowers in Mesquite?
How is North Cities UPC in Garland Pastor Hargrove?
How is New Life Tabernacle Pastor Stanley?
How is Abundant Life Church in Plano Pastor Hennigan?
Refuge of the Lake Cities Pastor L. Chancy Gore?
Ohhhhhhhhh Lord I need help.
Well I would try and put myself in your shoes to give you a good answer there. Lets see where would *I* go if I lived in the DFW area. Well there are several GREAT choices! I could go to Brother Steve Pixlers over in Fort Worth, Or I could go over to Fort Worth To Brother Steve Pixlers Church OR I MIGHT go over to Fort Worth to Brother Steve Pixlers church , or I'd consider going over to the Church in Fort Worth that Steve Pixler Pastors or I might go to Apostolic Church of Fort Worth Pastored by Steve Pixler or , well What's that church over there in Fort Worth Pastored by that guy who writes all those songs? Oh yeah, Brother Pixlers, OH WAIT! WAIT! What about that church in Fort Worth Pastored by that guy who is a hyper genius and has a revelation of the grace of God and the wonders of New Testament salvation that just wont quit? I think its pastored by some guy named Pixler or Bixler or something like that.... I guess its hopeless! Theres only one choice in the area for me!
